Water Audits & Surveys
Our work ranges from reducing the cost of your water by introducing new technology to improving and optimising the performance of your processes. Based on our audits or data supplied by you, we provide solutions to any issues.
Our team of qualified water experts can carry out full water audits and surveys on properties and water networks. We study your entire water cycle and provide analysis of your consumption.
Project Management and Engineering Services
We deliver and implement utilities projects, such as building, upgrading and commissioning wastewater treatment works, sewage pumping stations and water distribution networks.
For example, we're part of Scottish Water Solutions, a joint venture company bringing together Scottish Water with delivery partners, delivering in excess of £450 million of Scottish Water's new Capital Investment Programme, which itself is one of the largest in the UK water industry at £2.5 Billion.
Our professional in-house team includes mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and civil engineers.
Operations and Maintenance
We provide a complete service to operate and maintain water treatment infrastructure and can manage sites' water cycle on your behalf. This includes water, wastewater, trade effluent, and property and roads drainage management. We also offer network management, leak detection, meter installation, meter changes, accuracy tests and new connection services.
Equipment Design, Supply and Installation
We currently hold over 1000 patents for water technologies throughout the world and provide a full range of water and wastewater treatment equipment to suit your specific requirements. This includes equipment for the treatment of water used in most industrial and municipal processes, cooling and boiler applications, and also for pre-treatment of effluent prior to discharge. All equipment and installations are carried out and tested by qualified Veolia Water staff.
Water Regulations and Byelaw Compliance Works
Our in-house engineering teams are specifically trained and qualified to carry out all required survey and remedial works to achieve regulatory compliance for all business sectors. This may include the creation of risk management strategies and delivery of the most cost effective solutions.
Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) Compliance Works
Our engineering teams provide complete risk and zoning assessments, which may include rectification plans and cost assessments. If required we will also manage and deliver the rectification works to meet regulatory compliance on your behalf through our directly employed field engineering teams.
Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls and Automation (MEICA) Works
Our engineering teams are suitably trained, qualified and experienced in the installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment and the wide range of control and monitoring systems that are required in support of water and wastewater processing. Where required, a 24 hour, 365 days/year service can be provided. Our field staff are fully supported with mobile workshops and technical support facilities. These services are offered in support of capital investment projects and contracted maintenance services alike.
Multi-Utility Services
We form strategic alliances with major residential and commercial developers to offer a complete multi-utility design and installation service. Our qualified teams deliver clean and waste water services, gas, electricity, telecoms and data, street lighting and renewable energy installations (including reusing waste for energy generation).

Organic Waste Management
We can reuse your organic waste from municipal, industrial and commercial sites and processes. We offer land-based solutions, including land reclamation and turning waste into fertiliser for agricultural use, and energy generation.

Emergency and Temporary Water Treatment Supply
If your on-site water treatment equipment is stopped or if you have a temporary need for extra treatment or volume, we have a fleet of mobile treatment trailers to help meet your emergency or temporary needs.

The Environmental Management systems of all Veolia Water UK businesses are now certified to ISO 14001 and the majority of Veolia Water Outsourcing businesses have integrated management systems that additionally meet the requirements of ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
