Your future career with us

The scheme is designed to develop your skills, knowledge and experience and to prepare you for a career with Veolia Water.

Take charge of your development!

Our Graduate Programme is built to stretch you by giving you responsibilities for delivering projects and services critical to the success and growth of our companies. By solving practical problems, working with teams and increasing your own self-awareness, we will provide supportive opportunities to develop the skills you need as a potential leader in our business.

On a personal level, you will have the opportunity to develop your capabilities, knowledge and experience and start shaping your career with us. You will receive targeted development and tailored support to enable you to achieve your individual performance and development goals as well as to help you advance your career within the company. There are a number of tools and development events that you will benefit from in key areas such as personal effectiveness, leadership development and accredited project management training.

We expect our graduates to take ownership of their own development and career, our role is to guide, challenge and facilitate. We expect your learning journey to be sometimes uncomfortable (most new situations are) and are looking for graduates who are excited by that prospect and motivated to give their absolute best.

You are not alone!

During the programme, you'll be supported by a Graduate Programme Manager, who will provide you with a guiding hand throughout your learning journey. They will help you to take advantage of opportunities to release your potential, direct you back on track when you lose your focus, and help your thinking process in preparing for your next career move.

On starting the programme, you will be assigned a Buddy from our previous Graduate schemes to help you find your way around the company, as well as a dedicated Mentor to provide you with confidential coaching and advice. These are your'soundboards' to help develop your networking, learning, leadership and interpersonal competencies and sustain effective working relationship at all levels of the organisation.

Every six months, the manager of your particular placement will assess your performance in a number of key areas to ensure that you're progressing well and to discuss together any issues that may have arisen and what you have learnt from these challenges.
