Our people are our most valuable asset and are placed at the heart of the business.
Be part of our team
To keep skills your fresh and help fulfil your potential we provide skills and motivation in a coordinated manner to develop within the group.
We always expect each of our team members to be attentive to the needs of their customers. They need to have a pro-active attitude, whether they are working for the water companies providing water to consumers; or whether they are working on an outsourced contract for business customers.
We pride ourself on our professional approach. Our culture is based on leading, involving, coaching and developing our people. We strive to be open and honest in our management style; showing care and respect for each other.
Our goal is to provide employees with the opportunities, resources and environment to allow them to make an effective contribution to the business. We are committed to developing our peoples' skills, and encourage them to take responsibility and to promote corporate innovation; and to respect fundamental rights.
Developing our people
Our aim at Veolia Water is to develop a working environment that attracts, retains and rewards talented people. This isn't just about bricks and mortar but the softer more personal side of being part of our team.
Each year, over 2,000 of our employees receive training (some more than once). This ranges from professional and academic qualifications to specific technical courses, with all team leaders and managers being developed in Diversity at Work and Health and Safety in Practice.
We have also developed a computer-based package for training employees in environmental and safety issues. Since 2005, training has been provided by Campus Veolia based in Staines. The centre provides training for all divisions and companies belonging to the Veolia Environnement group in the UK.
Health and Safety - our top priority
Each employee expects to work in a safe environment.
Conscious of the fact that the working world is ever changing, that working conditions are constantly evolving and new types of risks are emerging, we support a participatory management approach towards health and safety.
Our health and safety policy is an integral part of the company's global management and procedures have been set up to efficiently manage the protection of our people and property.
