Veolia Water's drought friendly "Naturally Dry" garden has won a silver medal at the Chelsea Flower Show in the Artisan Garden category.
The'Naturally Dry' garden
The garden - designed by Vicky Harris Garden Design and built by Sean Butler at Cube 1994 - demonstrates that it is possible to have a beautiful garden, even during times of drought, by choosing plants that need little water and making good use of rainwater.
Vicky Harris said: "To get a silver medal at the Chelsea Flower Show is a real honour. Sean and I have worked extremely hard on this drought resistant garden and we are absolutely ecstatic that the judges were impressed enough to give us this accolade."
"I would like to thank Veolia Water for sponsoring the garden, we hope gardeners will be inspired to make use of water efficient plants in the future and to capture rainwater for watering their gardens."
The plants in the garden are available from most garden centres, enabling gardeners to create their own drought tolerant gardens and save water.

Despite the recent rainfall, groundwater levels in the underground chalk aquifers, from which Veolia Water takes most of its water, remain very low following two successive autumn and winters of very low rainfall.
The plants in the "Naturally Dry" garden have been supplied by the on-line garden nursery Crocus. Visitors to Veolia Water's garden at the Show will be able to receive 10% off all purchases of drought tolerant plants purchased through Crocus - including plants they see in the garden - when they pick up the Veolia Water garden leaflet at the Show.
The RHS Chelsea Flower Show runs from 22 to 26 May at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, London SW3.
