Delivering responsibility and accountability

Delivering responsibility and accountability

We want to promote expertise in our businesses at an excellent level of quality and trust to ensure that customers are fully satisfied with our services. Central to this strategy is the need for everyone in the organisation to behave responsibly.

We have adopted and published a statement of Corporate Responsibility Policies and Principles. This incorporates the environmental, social and economic policies and principles which underpin our goal of continuing to develop in a sustainable manner.

External and internal frameworks are crucial to our parent group, Veolia Environnement, for developing the business in a sustainable manner. Veolia Environnement has published a set of values and charters for sustainable development and ethics, commitment and responsibility. A key function of the central organisation of Veolia Water UK is to weave these principles into the policies and programmes that we operate.

Veolia Environnement publishes an annual Sustainable Development report covering the activities of the group worldwide. Sustainable development of the business is founded on a 10-point Sustainable Development Charter.

The principles and goals of sustainable development are translated into concrete actions around the world. The Charter's 10 commitments inform the development and implementation of Veolia Water UK's policies, procedures, goals and targets.
