Teaching children about the water cycle at the Three Valleys Educational and Environmental Center (Great Britain)

Raising the awareness of our customers to a more sustainable way of life is an essential part of our work. Veolia Water is committed to educating young people about water, the environment and the issues surrounding the protection of our planet for future generations.

Veolia Water U.K. has an award-winning education team who run a large number of activities both at the purpose-built Environment & Education Centre in Hertfordshire and through school based visits on the extensive outreach programme. The team also provides support for teachers on a number of topics including sustainable development and recycling, links with local authorities and organises activities for industrial customers.

In 2006 alone, more than 18,500 children and adults participated in the wide range of activities on offer. Since the Centre opened nine years ago the team has made contact with a staggering 125,000 people.
