Executive Statement

Bribery and corruption undermines the foundation of any company where it is present, and damages social and economic development.

I am committed to honesty, integrity and fairness in business and will not tolerate any form of bribery or corruption. I expect those with whom I work and do business, to meet the high standards of behaviour and integrity that I set myself. At Veolia Water UK we promote a culture of professional integrity amongst employees and those working on our behalf. We have a zero tolerance approach to corruption and take seriously our duty to ensure that our people do not engage in corrupt or improper activities.

Our anti-corruption policy requires employees to declare and keep a record of all gifts accepted or offered, which is subject to managerial review. All of our people are trained to ensure they understand the policy and their individual responsibilities. It is my mission to create a transparent and open working environment in which people feel able to speak freely and challenge behaviour at every level, but where they can also discuss issues in confidence, where necessary .

We will continue to uphold laws relevant to countering bribery and corruption in all the jurisdictions in which we operate. We do not make direct or indirect contributions to political parties.

I am personally committed to ensuring that we continue to pride ourselves on our reputation, for acting fairly and ethically wherever we do business. Our reputation is built on our company values, the behaviour of our employees and our collective commitment to acting with transparency throughout our organisation.
